Goodwood Festival of Speed 2011
Showplace was asked by Mazda UK to help them design, build, and manage the entire build schedule for their stand at this years Goodwood Festival of Speed. The brief was quite clear and had to include the strap line “defy convention” in all elements of the project. Over the previous years the stands had struggled to attract a high foot and enquiry rate.
With a short lead time, Showplace was able to design and deliver the stand within an six week period. The design was open and welcoming, and was able to relate the Mazda story of its racing heritage.
Built on a platform and exhibiting some six cars, the stand proved a great success. The test drives booked were up 70% and the brochure requirements were up as well, at 90%, quite amazing when six weeks before there was not even a plan.
